Are the INTEREST features an “app” that we must add (edit page/) or will it just be a new feature? Thanks Amy for all you share and explain!!!!

  • Marie

Hi, I haven’t got any info about this on my page or profile, but I will keep an eye open and try it as soon as it appears!
Thank you for your great video and explanation… always well done.

I do not have an interest feature on my Facebook page on the left side?? What am I missing?

  • http://www.AmyPorterfield.com Amy Porterfield

Hi, Jill.  The Interest Lists are not an app and will apear automatically for you when they are rolled out.  So you don’t have to do anything, just keep looking out for them!

  • http://www.AmyPorterfield.com Amy Porterfield

It just has not been rolled out to you yet – but keep looking out for it because you should have it soon!

Amy, thanks.  Can you only do this on a personal page or can you do it on your business/fan page?  I would like it on the business one but it does seem to be available on another page.  Thanks Rosemary,

Hi, Rosemary!  I am not sure what you mean when you ask, “Can you only do this on a personal page” – When you log into Facebook, you will see the Interests lists on your HOME tab – so it’s not really connected to your Profile or your Page – but a general setting instead.  Does that make sense?  -Amy

  • Rosemary

Hi Amy, Yes you have answered I think.  What I was trying to ask was whether you can make the interests list only available to those who like or are friends for your business fan page and not to your personal friends – i.e. somehow to separate them.  From what you said, it seems that you can’t do this as there is only one access point and the choices are public etc.   Thanks for help.

Hi Amy, On the video where you are showing the interest feature looks like it shows on the old page setup and not on the timeline.  Where would it be on the timeline?

  • Leah

Nevermind.  I got it.  It is on the home feed and not the profile or business page.

Hi, Amy! I think what Rosemary might be trying to ask and my question, as well, is can Facebook Business Pages make their own Interest Lists? Or, can only a personal profile make an Interest List?

  • Mkrinteriors

Thank you Amy…….such a informative video.  I see smart list (which I think organizes your friends) but not interest list.

Amy, thanks for taking the time to review this.  Really like this feature, it’s a nice curation tool – especially for local communities.  I’m going to give it a spin now to highlight local business association members.
