MYTH #1: YOU NEED TO HAVE A DIGITAL PRODUCT READY TO SELL
Let’s unpack the words “ready to sell”. Do you have your online course at least partially outlined? Do you have an idea what bonuses you’d like to offer? Do you know who your product is intended to serve andhow it will change their lives?
Presto! I now pronounce you ready to sell.
We get so caught up trying to get everything perfect on the very first try (#guiltyascharged) that we end up hopelessly stuck and quit 5 seconds from the finish line.
If you want to go all-in, to “burn the boats” like my friend Tony Robbins would say, then I challenge you to pre-sell your course on a webinar. Even if it’s not fully “done” yet.
Once the money is coming in, you’ll catch up.
MYTH #2: YOU CAN’T SELL SERVICES ON A WEBINAR
Too many talented service providers—VAs, copywriters, ad managers, web designers, business coaches, etc.—are struggling to find clients and get visibility for their brand.
…so they take on the wrong clients for w-a-y less money than their work is worth.
Webinars are the best way I know to reach a highly-targeted pool of people who actually NEED your services right now—they just need you to tell them what, why you, and how much.
If you struggle to land the right clients, I’ve got an easy answer for you: host a webinar. Using my webinar system, you could have a whole new roster of clients by the end of the month.
MYTH #3: IT’S EXPENSIVE IF YOU WANT TO DO IT RIGHT
#truthbomb When you’re banking 7 figures on a webinar, you’ll be more than happy to shell out a few extra Benjamins for the software that helps you do that.
And in the meantime, you absolutely do NOT need to invest big money on your first webinar.
With a wee bit of elbow grease, you can do it for free. Once you’ve got a profitable webinar on your hands, you can start spending money on software, designers, and copywriters…
…but I promise you don’t need any of that when you’re just starting out. If you want the proof → here, I am standing right in front of you. (“Hi hi!” 👋 )
MYTH #4: YOU NEED A LOT OF TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW TO PULL IT OFF
Let’s be real: we live in the era of smartphones and tablets. If you can figure out how to send a text message and download an app, you can figure out how to schedule a webinar and send a few emails to your registrants.
A couple of years ago, I might have let you off the hook. I might have told you, “You’re right, but you can hire inexpensive help.” But not anymore.
(To be fair, you can still get inexpensive help. But why would you?)
The software we have available today makes it possible for anyone with a bit of determination and grit to host a webinar. And what’s even better, those smartypants software companies are all banding together, so that everything connects beautifully with the click of a button.
If I could do it 8 years ago, you can certainly do it today.
