Position Overview

You’re a creative powerhouse that loves all things digital marketing and has no trouble taking big ideas and making them bite-sized, actionable, and easy to understand.

This position’s primary focus is to create stellar content in digital formats. The Content Coordinator will focus primarily on creating (researching, writing, and editing) content for our top-rated podcast, Online Marketing Made Easy.

This role will also work with the content team to create blog content, social media content, and digital course content where needed. The number one goal of this position is to turn our customers’ and potential customers’ biggest challenges and obstacles into actionable solutions that will lead them to experience massive success.

Our ideal Content Coordinator will come to the team with experience and can jump in and make an immediate contribution.  This ideal candidate would be able to match our brand voice to create, update, and refine all the different types of content we use in our business.

You’re organized, creative, and know how to write engaging, thoughtful, and actionable content that will give our audience clarity and direction and keep them inspired.

This is a full-time, remote position, meaning, you get to listen to loud music and work in your PJ’s if that’s your thing. You’ll report directly to our Content Development Director, while also working closely with other key members of the team.

We’re not your average company — we always make sure our team members have plenty of freedom and flexibility to live their best lives, recharge, and have fun (major perks of working as a remote team!)

That said, the online marketing world doesn’t take breaks — that’s why we need our team members to be flexible too. The tasks required in this role rarely fit into an average 9-5 schedule. Our dream Content Coordinator is open to finding their own rhythm and creating a schedule that serves their life while also ensuring they get the job done.

Duties and Responsibilities

Our Content Coordinator will be responsible for ongoing research and idea generation, various forms of content creation, and staying on top of project deadlines.

  • Research: Producing complete and accurate research to back up any statement or strategy we share on the podcast. You’ll also be responsible for brainstorming podcast topics and expert guests.
  • Writing: Working within our brand voice to build out podcast episode outlines and scripts; summarizing content into detailed show notes / blog posts; writing video scripts (training focused, not sales focused).
  • Curation and ideation: Creating additional step-by-step training materials and guides focused on online marketing strategies and frameworks for digital courses, webinars, and live workshops that are value-based, actionable, and engaging.
  • Editing: Editing content for flow and accuracy and ensuring the content structure is easy to follow.
  • Providing audio and video production support when needed.
  • Participating in weekly meetings with the Content Team.

Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate possess the following strengths and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or business is preferred
  • A strong understanding of the importance of high-quality content in the digital marketing stratosphere and intimate knowledge of all the steps involved in the creation process.
  • You enjoy creating content that will help entrepreneurs attract and expand their audiences online while increasing their impact and revenue
  • You understand the power of a good story and you are a master at asking the right questions of the right people to bring that story to life
  • You're an effective communicator, especially in writing, and have a knack for taking big concepts and breaking them down so they’re easy for people to understand
  • You are a natural teacher. You can take a concept and effortlessly explain it in a clear and concise manner
  • You have a natural ability to understand what makes someone tick
  • You have the ability to uncover students challenges and translate those challenges into solutions
  • You are a thinker AND a doer. This position is a mix of both. You can come up with creative content and you also don’t hesitate to jump in and implement
  • You’re incredibly organized (friends might call you a little OCD!)
  • You’re the type of person that can spot a typo from a mile away
  • You have a genuine interest in online marketing strategies and principles
  • You have a good eye for design  and can communicate how to make written content aesthetically pleasing in terms of graphics and slide decks
  • You can adapt well to quick turnaround and work well under pressure

Our Values

Our team is ambitious (always striving for excellence), hungry (competitive to the core; always wanting to be at the top) and enthusiastic (always excited about the work we are doing.)

We do whatever it takes to get the job done.

→ “That’s not my job” is not part of our vocabulary.

→ Since we are a small, but mighty team, we jump in where needed and are not afraid to get our hands dirty in the details.

→ We do whatever it takes to do the best we can in our specific roles.

When it comes to our customers and community, we lead with compassion.

→ We understand that everyone is doing the very best they can in the moment.

→ We subscribe to the belief that everyone we connect with is fighting their own battle we know nothing about.

→ We believe that compassion and kindness are exactly what they need to keep moving forward.

We are all coachable.

→ We are willing to make mistakes, learn from them quickly and continue to grow.

→ We put down our defenses, take a moment to process, take the feedback and run with it.

We each take complete ownership of our roles.

→ Never will you see us pass off our job or project to someone else.

→ Although we know we can always ask for help, we keep our own monkeys.

→ We each feel extreme pride in the work we are doing and we own our projects like a boss.

We are resourceful to the core. You will never hear us say it can’t be done. We will find a way.

→ We are creative, strategic and thoughtful in our actions. We believe there is always a way to make it work and we will do the digging to figure it out.

→ We don’t expect others on the team to tell us what to do or how to do it. We always help each other out when needed, but ultimately, when needed, we do the work to figure things out.

We laugh . . . a lot.

→ We genuinely like working with each other, so finding the fun in the moment, even when things are tough, it is just part of our culture.
