Position Overview

In addition to maintaining and strengthening our current partnerships, the Strategic Partner Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities for new relationships and business partnerships.

Our ideal candidate will come to the table with prior experience and understand the revenue boosting power of strategic alliances in the online world.

This position’s primary focus is to spot opportunities for creating win-win relationships between sponsors, affiliate partners, and brands that align with the Team Porterfield mission, purpose, and values.

Our ideal Strategic Partner Manager is organized, flexible, and great at managing communication, projects, and deadlines. You’ll be an integral part of a dedicated team that loves to have fun and make an impact in the lives of online entrepreneurs everywhere!

The Strategic Partner Manager will be responsible for tracking inbound and outbound communication with our sponsors and affiliate partners, as well as managing information and relationships with partner managers on other teams, aka those who manage Team Porterfield when we’re promoting as an affiliate.

If you’re a resourceful Strategic Partner Manager with a passion for strong relationships and a drive to find new opportunities for revenue streams and growth, this might be the perfect role for you.

We’re looking for an experienced, systems-oriented Strategic Partner Manager who understands the value of good relationships and the potential for cross-promotion. If you’re great at being proactive, motivating others, and organizing information — this could be the role for you!

This is a full-time, remote position, meaning, you get to listen to loud music and work in your PJ’s if that’s your thing. You’ll report directly to our Marketing Director, while also working closely with Amy and other key members of the team.

We’re not your average company — we always make sure our team members have plenty of freedom and flexibility to live their best lives, recharge, and have fun (major perks of working as a remote team!)

That said, the online marketing world doesn’t take breaks — that’s why we need our team members to be flexible too. The tasks required in this role rarely fit into an average 9-5 schedule. Our dream Partnership Manager is open to finding their own rhythm and creating a schedule that serves their life while also ensuring they get the job done.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Strategic Partner Manager is the person at the heart of our business relationships. This person ensures that our sponsors and partners feel cared for, and that the brands we promote know they can count on us to follow through with our commitments. Identifying opportunities for growing relationships and forming new ones is an essential part of this position.

You’ll be responsible for…

  • Leading day-to-day operational tasks to activate and scale key strategic partnerships, including Joint Venture partners, affiliates, and podcast sponsors.
  • Managing relationships with customers and vendors to build the brand and the business.
  • Developing and executing plans for strategic growth is your thing. Looking at the big picture and breaking it down into doable tasks is just how your brain works.
  • Generating and analyzing reports on partner initiatives — you’re not afraid to dig into the numbers and use relevant data to determine how we can improve our affiliate launches and get better results for our own affiliates.
  • Developing relationships with prospective affiliate partners and show guests
  • Negotiating contracts and partnerships with sponsors, partners, and other brands. You’ve got some experience under your belt and know how to create a win-win situation for all involved. 
  • Building our organizational network through targeted outreach and strong project planning.
  • Always knowing what’s going on and being flexible and resourceful enough to create a new game plan when something doesn’t go as planned.

  • Juggling multiple projects, people, and to-do’s simultaneously is no problem for you — you get things done, meet deadlines and keep promises.
  • You’re a connector with an aptitude for finding opportunities where most wouldn’t think to look. You’ve got a knack for presenting win-win scenarios and offering the support and resources necessary for new partnerships to thrive.
  • Dynamic leadership skills and the ability to organize, motivate and work with different personality types to accomplish a specific goal.
  • Performing under pressure and staying calm and proactive even when there’s a lot going on comes easily to you.
  • Extremely flexible, compassionate, and team oriented — you stay positive and committed to solving problems instead of focusing on them.
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) — you love working with a team and your communication style is clear, kind, and concise.
  • Forward thinking, positive, and decisive — you’re great at forecasting into the future and doing whatever you can to preempt any unnecessary time crunches or deadline disasters.
