Position Overview

The Strategic Partnership Manager is responsible for identifying potential relationships among business partners, as well as identifying opportunities for new relationships. The Strategic Partnership Manager cultivates and maintains existing relationships, ideally brings their own relationships to the role, as well as creates new strategies for increasing revenue.

This position’s primary focus is to spot opportunities for creating win-win relationships between sponsors, affiliate partners, and brands that align with the Team Porterfield mission, purpose, and values.

Our ideal Strategic Partnership Manager is organized, flexible, and great at managing communication, projects, and deadlines. You’ll be an integral part of a dedicated team that loves to have fun and make an impact in the lives of online entrepreneurs everywhere! 

The Strategic Partnership Manager will be responsible for tracking inbound and outbound communication with our sponsors and affiliate partners, as well as managing information and relationships with partner managers on other teams, aka those who manage Team Porterfield when we are promoting as an affiliate.

We’re looking for an experienced, systems-oriented Strategic Partnership Manager who understands the value of good relationships and the potential for cross-promotion and who’s great at being proactive, motivating, and organizing information. 

This is a remote role where you’ll be part of a passionate team working in a fast-paced digital environment. 

This is a full-time position that reports directly to our Marketing Director, while also working closely with Amy and other key members of the team. 

That said, the online marketing world doesn’t take breaks — that’s why we need our team members to be flexible, too. The tasks required in this role typically fit into a Monday – Thursday 8 am – 5 pm schedule but during product launches and busy seasons, we tend to tap into hours outside that range.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Strategic Partnership Manager is the heart of our relationships and ensures that our sponsors and partners feel cared for and that the brands we promote know they can count on us to follow through with our commitments. Identifying opportunities for growing relationships and forming new ones is essential.

You’ll be responsible for… 

  • Leading day-to-day operational tasks to activate and scale key strategic partnerships. 

Your tasks will include: creating email grids, project plans in Asana, managing affiliate marketing tasks and responsibilities between the Marketing Director and Amy, booking partnership promotions and handling all of our internal affiliates, and more… 

  • Managing relationships with customers and vendors to build the brand and the business.
  • Developing and executing plans for strategic growth
  • Generating and analyzing reports of business metrics
  • Negotiating contracts and partnerships with sponsors, partners, and other brands
  • Building the organizational network through targeted outreach and strong project planning.
  • Always knowing what’s going on and being flexible and resourceful enough to create a new game plan when something doesn’t go as planned.
  • Running the Digital Course Academy affiliate program with our 150+ partners. 

Skills, Abilities and Experience

The ideal candidate possesses the following strengths and skills:

  • 2+ years experience in the world of digital marketing by managing big relationships during live launches.
  • You’re a smart cookie who’s able to keep up in a fast paced environment and stay ahead of the game. 
  • You’ve got a degree or serious skills in business, administration/management, communications, or a related field 
  • A team player, but with the soft skills to influence with diplomacy and tact across the organization to ensure business objectives are met
  • Breaking down big ideas into step by step actionable tasks makes you happy! Streamlined systems and strategic planning are your love languages. 
  • Juggling multiple projects, people, and to-do’s simultaneously is no problem for you — you get things done, meet deadlines and keep promises.
  • Dynamic leadership skills and the ability to organize, motivate, and work with different personality types to accomplish a specific goal. 
  • Performing under pressure and staying calm and proactive even when there’s a lot going on comes easily to you. 
  • Extremely flexible, compassionate, and team oriented — you stay positive and committed to solving problems instead of focusing on them. 
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) — you love working with a team and your communication style is clear, kind, and concise. 
  • Forward thinking, positive, and decisive — you’re good at seeing the big picture and breaking it into bite-sized pieces while also forecasting into the future and doing whatever you can to preempt any unnecessary time crunches or deadline disasters.

Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 based on experience
Amy Porterfield, LLC offers a short-term incentive plan using a tiered bonus structure. The bonus range for this position is between 5-25% of the salary. The requirements for bonus eligibility are determined by (1) performance and (2) achieving the company's annual profit target. If both conditions are satisfied, the company will remit short-term incentive bonuses to full-time salaried employees.
