I moved to New York City when I was 21, and by the time I was 23, I had $30,000 in credit card debt—plus another $20,000 in student loans—and I barely made $30,000/year. Not a good place to be. But I was determined to do something about it

Two years later, I had paid off all my credit card debt by making tiny changes here and there, but I still hadn’t conquered my poor spending habits. I knew my debt elimination was a temporary fix and I would never get above “breaking even” without making more serious changes. So I did something drastic, and I gave up shopping for an entire year!

The result: The revelation that emotions drive ALL of our spending decisions, and a newfound feeling of empowerment around money!

This led me to start teaching other women how to budget & take control of their spending, just like I had.

I was amazed by the results—especially the ones that had nothing to do with money.

This planted the seed for my company “The School of Betty”—a dedication to my badass grandma (Betty) who owned her own business when women didn’t “do that sort of thing”! It was also a dedication to all the women out there who I knew needed my help with money.

One woman launched a podcast after taking my course. It helped her get her finances in order because she felt so much momentum and amazingness in her life!

That’s why I didn’t want to launch the course without learning from Amy first. I took “DCA” and “List Builders Society®️” because I wanted to reach as many women as possible all across the world, not just the ones I knew personally.

And it’s working, too, because so far, my launches have generated $21,000, and I’m adding 250–300 leads per month to my list!

Before Amy, I have always worked in performing arts and marketing strategy but also just felt that there was more that I wanted to do. Now, I get to say that my business is changing lives, my work fires me up, and I feel grateful to do what I do every day as a money and life coach.
