I became a hairstylist back in 2001, even though I was warned not to. By 2010, I started my own salon, which still exists today.
I’m really proud of the success I’ve seen with that business—I make 6-figures as the salon owner—and it’s still standing almost two decades later. The problem with my salon business, though, is how taxing it can be.
Standing on my feet all day was putting strain on my body, having a million different things to worry about all the time gave me so much anxiety that I ended up in the hospital, and I was physically exhausted all the time.
My business manager’s boyfriend actually works with Amy so she suggested I check out her stuff. “Maybe you could think more long-term about your business and start teaching courses,” she suggested.
And thank God she did!! January of 2019 I launched my new online business, Rock Your Business: A Stress-Free Guide Earning 6-Figures, that teaches hairstylists how to go from overwhelmed & under paid to stress-free & profitable.
My first launch? $25,000. My second? $50,000! My third? $56,000!!
That’s $131,000 from course launches alone! On top of that, I upsell a mastermind program to my students which have brought in an extra $70,000 to date.
As I write this, 2019 isn’t even finished yet and I’ve already generated over $200,000 from my teaching business alone! Then, I still have my salon income on top of that.
This has been LIFE-CHANGING for me. The biggest shift has been my ability to take care of myself first. I’m able to mostly work from home on my own schedule, and just pop into the salon for a few of my long-term clients who I adore.
When my soulmate, Leroy (my pup) passed away 6 months ago, I took 4 months off work to grieve his loss. I wouldn’t have been able to do that without the success of my first course launch.

UPDATE: I launched again in August and made over $150,000! My ICA is hairstylists who have really been going through it for the last 3 months during COVID-19. I'm looking forward to helping them through this tough time!
