For the past 24 years, I’ve had a successful career as an artist and graphic designer, and many of my creations have been featured on clothing and products for some pretty large brands.
As a result, I’ve become pretty well established in my community. About two years ago, I started consulting with other artists and designers on how to launch a business and connect with clients.
In 2017, I had a crazy idea that I should sell an online course to teach this. So with one Instagram post, I got 100 signups… for a course that didn’t even exist yet!
I knew I had a great offering, but I didn’t know how to capitalize on it. I also didn’t know anything about running a business. I was making all of my major decisions on instinct, and I didn’t even know the right marketing terminology to use.
