Words that sting, VIP days, and another obsession

October 21, 2025

It’s wild how a single sentence can take up residence in your head for years.

I still remember sitting at one of the first business conferences I ever attended, surrounded by confident, accomplished women, silently wondering what I was doing there.

At lunch one day, I met another woman who seemed kind and grounded.

We swapped stories about our lives, our businesses, and I shared that I was a new stepmom to a five-year-old boy, figuring out how to fit into this new role.

She smiled and told me about her two kids and how hard it was to be a mom and run a business.

Then, mid-conversation, she said something I’ll never forget:
“Well, you’re not a real mom, so you might not get it.” 😳

Fifteen years later, those words still echo.

Every time parenting Cade felt hard or uncertain, that voice would whisper, you’re not the real mom.

And here’s the thing… it made me play small. It made me question myself, pull back, and stay quiet when I could’ve stepped up.

Have you ever had one of those moments?

Someone says something careless or cutting, and years later, you still carry it like proof that maybe they were right.

But they weren’t. Their words were never about you.

They came from their own lens, their own story, their own insecurity.

And that’s where your power lies. In realizing you don’t have to let someone else’s perspective define yours.

So, what’s the sentence that’s been running the show in your head?

The one that sneaks in when you’re about to go bigger or take a risk?

Maybe it’s time to rewrite that story. 💛

Why the Next Level of Growth Isn’t About More Followers

If you’ve felt like what used to work online just isn’t working anymore, you’re not imagining it.

The game has changed.
♦️Algorithms are unpredictable.
♦️Audiences are more discerning.
♦️And “more content” isn’t the answer.

Right now, the entrepreneurs seeing the biggest growth aren’t chasing reach. They’re deepening relationships.

Instead of pouring energy into finding new followers, they’re focused on helping the people already in their world get even bigger results.

Because here’s the truth: your warmest leads are the ones who’ve already trusted you once. When you help them reach their next milestone, they’ll happily invest again.

So what does “going deeper” actually look like?

It’s creating intimate, high-impact experiences.

📎 Think: VIP Days, 1:1 coaching, spot coaching quick calls, done-for-you packages, or advanced (or niche) versions of your core offer.

📎 It’s personal check-ins, valuable ‘member perks’, and content that meets your clients exactly where they are now.

The thing is, I don’t just talk the talk. I never teach you anything I haven’t done.

In my Milly Club, many of the women started as my students years ago.

When I offered something more intimate and deeper, they decided to go on the journey with me.

I created a program for faster growth, better results, and businesses that feel lighter and more profitable.

That’s what I want you to consider as well!

So here’s my question to you: If you stopped focusing on new followers for a month and focused only on the people already in your world, what might happen?

You won’t know until you give it a try.

Is This Too Niche? 🖊️

This might be a weird quirk, but where are all the girls who love pens as much as me?

The ones who guard their favorite pen like it’s gold and will dig through a drawer to find it. 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’m an analog girl through and through. I’ve tried every note-taking app and gadget, but nothing beats a great leather journal and a magic pen.

My current obsessions: the Pilot Acroball (cheap magic) and the Esterbrook Ballpoint (fancy magic).

I’m not joking around. These pens are perfection! (I love all the white ones!)

In fact, the Acroball is rumored to be the most popular pen in Japan.

And let me tell you, Japan is known for its stationery! How about you? Are you ‘team pen and paper’ too, or are you a techy queen?

Until then, let go of the words that were never meant for you, consider lovin’ up on your existing customers, and enjoy my pen recs!
