Big Moves, and a Q4 Shortcut

September 20, 2025

A few weeks ago, as I was putting the final touches on my big launch, I had a wild idea.

As my launch kicked off, I decided to start a brand-new food plan, workout plan, and journaling system… all at once. (What in the world was I thinking?!)

Hobie was away at the lake with his buddies (his usual escape when I’m in launch mode), and I went full steam ahead.

✨I hired a new health coach.
✨I started tracking macros.
✨I began food prepping for the very first time.
✨I was logging into MyFitnessPal like it was Instagram.

And in the gym? I ditched my plateau, grabbed heavier weights, and pushed myself harder than I ever had. (Sore doesn’t even describe it!)

Oh, and while I was at it, I created a brand-new “journal ecosystem” to track new ideas, map out my days more strategically, and reflect after coaching calls.

(I can’t wait to share this with you… I just need a little more time to dial it in.)

And since I was not busy enough, we launched a new homepage with new pics for the website!

By the time Hobie got back and the launch wrapped, I was fired up, full of new routines, talking his ear off about macros and business ideas.

But instead of celebrating with me, it was like he became a walking stop sign. 🛑

Turns out, what felt perfectly aligned to me felt chaotic and rushed to him. (Yikes.)

During our Sunday couples coaching session, he admitted he felt confused and left out of my new trajectory. 😕

It wasn’t about him not supporting me, it was about how I was full speed ahead, and he wasn’t ready for it.

And in that moment, I remembered this exact feeling from the early years of business.

You’re lit up, making bold moves, saying yes to what your gut knows is right… and the people around you don’t always understand.

They love you, but they’re not on your exact journey.

So here’s my reminder to you: You are not wrong for wanting more. 💛

You’re not wrong for chasing growth when others might need a little more time to catch up.

The fire you feel is yours to follow, and it doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else.

So listen to your gut. Keep going. It’s yours for the taking.

(If you, too, are working on something new, tell me about it!)

Throwback to ‘Teen Beat’ Quizzes 🤣

If you were a teenage girl in the 80s or 90s, you probably remember those magazine quizzes…

What does your favorite Halloween candy say about your dating life?” or “What kind of flirt are you?” Silly? Yes. Addictive? Absolutely.

That same psychology is why quizzes are still list-building gold today.

Your audience loves learning more about themselves, and while they’re answering your questions, you’re collecting valuable data about them. Win-win.

5 reasons quizzes work:

✔️They’re irresistible and fun to take.
✔️They give your audience instant insight about themselves.
✔️They create natural “aha” moments tied to your expertise.
✔️They segment your audience based on results.
✔️They grow your list with high-quality, engaged leads.

If you want to hit your Q4 list-building goals, make a quiz your secret weapon.

Stepmom Things 💙

During my launch last week, my stepson Cade sent me the funniest text.

When he was little, he insisted on being “in charge” of my launch numbers.

Every night he’d grab a notepad, tally up the course sales, and proudly deliver the daily total like it was breaking news.

He took those duties very seriously.

Fast forward to now… He’s all grown up, but when this text came in, I was reminded how lucky I am to be his mom #2.

So here’s a little idea: the next time you launch something, let your kids join the fun. Give them a role, even if it’s small.

Not only does it lighten the vibe, but years later, they just might be the ones hyping you up with texts that make your heart melt. 😍

And if you already know, tell me which role you’re going to give your kids for the next launch. 🎉

Great chat! Let’s do it again next week.

Until then, remember this: It’s OK to want more. It’s OK that your friends and family might not feel your same fire. Do it anyway!
