Today's Lineup:
- My worst business fears, coming true 👹
- Bonuses that add to your launches, instead of overcomplicating them 🎁
- The growing list of tasks an AI agent can take off your plate 🙌
Almost everything I was scared of when I started my business… happened.
❌ I was afraid I’d lose friends.
And I did.
One friend pulled away when my business started growing quicker than hers. She was building a business too, but I was ahead. Our friendship just couldn’t survive the comparison game.
Another friend told me I was “obsessed” with my new business and then mocked me for doing photoshoots. She said, “What are you, a Kardashian now?” That one really hurt.
❌ I was afraid I’d be awkward on video.
And I was.
One time, I accidentally left a recording running, pulled up my bank account for all to see, and had what I thought was a private convo with my assistant. It was very much not private. Mortifying. 🤦🏻♀️
❌ I was afraid I’d mess up my taxes.
And I did.
In my first full year on my own, I had no idea how to track taxes. By the end of the year, I owed money… money that I didn’t have.
I had to borrow $$ from my parents. NOT what any new business owner dreams of.
❌ I was afraid people would say mean things online.
And they did.
Some guy said I looked like a man in drag. Another called me fat and said no one would take me seriously. Years later, I still remember these comments.
❌ I was afraid my first launch would tank.
And it did.
I made $267 in profit. I sold a few courses, but spent thousands to do it.
Oh, and one time I raised my price to $997, sold just one course on a webinar, panicked, refunded the customer, and dropped the price back down instantly. A complete disaster. 🗑️
And yet, here I am.
$130 million later. A business I love. A life that’s mine.
So if you’re freaking out, messing up, or feel like you’re absolutely fumbling through this, way to go.
This is what it looks like.
Your job isn’t to avoid the mistakes. It's to take the lesson and keep going.
Sure, the things you’re most afraid of might happen. But the business you want is on the other side of facing them.
99% of people never try because they’re not willing to face the comments, the judgment, or the learning curve. But then they never reap the benefits. You’re in the 1% willing to face it. And I’m here to tell you that there is incredible reward on the other side.
The Bonuses That Boost Conversions
If your sales have slowed or your launch is feeling flat, the right bonus can change this.
Now, too many bonuses can distract from your core sales message. But the right bonus delivered at the right time can ease objections, reduce risk, and make your offer feel like a total no-brainer. 💁🏻♀️
It can take someone from on the fence to confident that the support you offer is the support they need.
A few types to consider:
Core Bonus: The “must-have” resource that helps your students get through your program more easily (ex: templates or a done-for-you resource).
Fast Action Bonus: A reward for early buyers on a masterclass or in the first 48 hours of selling your program. (ex: limited-time coaching or small group Q&A).
Mid Cart Bonus: Something to give fresh interest and incentive to those waffling (ex: quick-win resource or tool).
Cart Close Bonus: A final nudge to push them over the edge (ex: a next-step roadmap or accountability tracker).
Bonuses can offer value while also working to overcome objections.
If your audience is:
- Worried about price → Add a bonus that can save them money or make more of it. (If not a bonus, a payment plan is also powerful!)
- Stuck on time → Offer a “quick start” plan or done-for-you templates.
- Scared they won’t finish → Give them a checklist, progress tracker, or built-in accountability.
Bonuses are such powerful sales tools.
How Much Can An AI Agent Do For You? 🤔
You probably saw the headline this week that Meta is building AI agents that do more than just answer questions, they actually perform tasks.
Instead of asking AI to brainstorm content ideas or summarize a podcast episode, you could say things like:
“Monitor my competitors and send me a quick daily update.”
“Find trending conversations in my niche and turn them into post ideas.”
“Track the best deal on this product and buy it when the price drops.”
And AI would handle it. ✅
We’ve moved from using AI as your assistant to using AI as an operator in your business.
This is where online business owners really need to lean in, if you haven’t yet.
AI agents will free up time, simplify decisions, and help you move faster than ever before, all while keeping overhead down.
So if you haven’t already, I want you to start thinking, “How do I use AI to create a business that feels lighter, smarter, and more sustainable?”
Because there’s so much opportunity here for owners who feel stretched thin to do more, move faster, and carry less.
The Things I Do That Annoy Even Me 🤡
Every single week, I make these same choices knowing full well they’re unhinged. But here we are. I’ve accepted myself.
1. Speed Listening for Sport 🎧
I play audiobooks on 2x speed so I can “get through them faster” then immediately rewind every 4.5 minutes because… what did she just say? I retain nothing. But it seems productive.
2. My Very Lucrative Side Hustle 💰
I chase a constant “returns” high. I could work at Paper Source with how pristinely I’m able to repackage an Amazon purchase, just so I can return it in perfect order and get that refund. Because it’s free money to me. I just made money by returning this item and you can’t tell me any differently.
3. Meal Prep Delusion 🧑🍳
Every Sunday, I think I’m a wellness influencer and prep 42 Tupperwares of roasted vegetables. By Monday at 10 am, I’m repulsed by the sight of a carrot. I’m no longer responsible for who I was Sunday night and Hobie judges me hard when that first DoorDash delivery arrives. (Not sorry.)
Don’t leave me hanging. What’s one thing you do that drives you (and possibly your partner) nuts… but you won’t be changing anytime soon?
Nice chat! Let’s do it again next week.
Until then, stop giving so much weight to your fears, let your bonuses ease objections, and accept that some habits are simply part of your personality now. 🤷🏻♀️

P.S. Positioning is what makes people already believe in you before they hit your sales page. In this week’s episode, I break down the three trust-building assets that actually drive conversions, and why selling feels so much harder when those pieces aren’t in place. Listen here
