Today's Lineup:
- My capsule wardrobe 🤝 your capsule business
- The money conversation you keep dodging (and why I'm calling you out). 💰
- YouTube is quietly ghosting your subscribers. What you need to know…
- I am turning my cabin in the woods into a new podcast studio (pics included!)
I walked past a 40% off ‘perfect’ pair of jeans last week and felt nothing.
If you know me, you know I loooove denim. But I've been building a capsule wardrobe, and that pair of jeans didn't pass the filter.
If you're not familiar, a capsule wardrobe is a curated closet built around non-negotiables. You define your silhouette. You invest in quality fabrics.
You skip the sales rack unless it fits the plan. You don't buy just because something is trending. You buy because it aligns.
Every purchase runs through a filter: Does this fit my capsule principles?
And I realized… I run my business the exact same way!
But most entrepreneurs don't.
When revenue dips or a launch underperforms, or someone else seems to be winning with a strategy you haven't tried, does your philosophy go out the window?
When you see a competitor launch a quiz funnel, do you sometimes think, “Dang, I should be doing that, too.”
When someone pivots their business, do you secretly question if you should too?
That's not strategy. That's reactivity dressed up as ambition.
What if you had a Business Capsule instead? A set of principles and rules every decision runs through before you act.
Here's what mine looks like:
📍 I don't add a tactic unless it fits my infrastructure. Just like I don't buy a blazer that doesn't work with anything else in my closet.
📍 I don't make decisions from anxiety. And trust me, I have plenty of it. But I make moves from data and alignment. (Want proof? I’ll show you exactly how I do this next week in my new free training!)
📍 I don't copy what's working for someone at a different stage, with a different audience, solving a different problem.
📍 I don't chase platforms. I go deeper on the ones already working for me.
When you have your own Business Capsule, you stop doom-scrolling other people's strategies.
And you stop building from FOMO and start building from identity.
Because the woman who scales to a million isn't the one doing the most. She's the one who knows exactly what she stands for, what she says no to, and what system she's committed to.
She doesn't need to try everything. She needs to trust what's hers.
So what's in YOUR Business Capsule? What are the 3 to 5 non-negotiables every business decision has to pass through before you act?
My Ultimate Mission for Female Founders 💵
One of my missions in life is to help women make more money. Full stop.
Not because money is everything. But because money creates opportunity, freedom, and choices.
It lets you focus on what truly matters instead of constantly operating from scarcity.
I believe women steward money differently. We pour it back into our families, our teams, our communities. The more we have, the more good we do with it.
If you're someone who shies away from talking about money, who brushes it off with, “I'm just not motivated by money,” I want to challenge you on that.
Talk about it more. Be bolder in wanting it. Be unapologetic about going after it, not for the sake of a number, but for what that number makes possible.Nischa Shah, a personal finance expert, says this more perfectly than I ever could. Watch this short video for a little extra money motivation.

YouTube just rolled out a few updates worth paying attention to.
📺 YouTube might ghost your subscribers for you.
If a subscriber has notifications set to “All” but hasn't been engaging with your content, YouTube may stop sending them push notifications. Your videos still show up in their Subscriptions feed, but the push alert? Gone. You can't just post and hope. Takeaway: Give people a reason to interact, not just watch.
📺 Muted viewers now get captions automatically.
On mobile, if a viewer mutes your video, captions automatically appear. More people are watching on mute than you think. At the gym, in a meeting, scrolling in bed. Takeaway: Always assume someone is watching without sound.
📺 You can now turn a photo into a Short. No filming required.
YouTube's new “Add Motion” feature turns a still image into an animated 8-second Short using AI-powered motion effects. Got a behind-the-scenes photo, a quote graphic, a product image? Now it moves.
The bottom line: YouTube is rewarding creators who make it easy for viewers to stay engaged. Make sure that's you!
A Big Redirect for My Cozy Cabin in The Woods 🌲
So here's something I haven't shared yet.
When Hobie and I bought our 70 acres in Leaper's Fork to build our dream home (which is happening RIGHT now), there was one small structure already on the property: a little cabin.
One bedroom, a tiny kitchen, a family room, and a covered porch. We spent the last year remodeling it into a guest house.
And then I had an idea. What if I turned it into a podcast studio? 🙌🏻
I've been wanting to do more in-person interviews because there's a connection you make off-screen that completely changes the energy on-screen.
And the thought of recording face to face, surrounded by the Tennessee woods… I mean, come onnnn.
So that's exactly what we're doing. The furniture is coming out, a full podcast setup is going in. I think you'll feel the difference in every episode.
Here's the cabin as it sits right now:

Stay tuned. In a couple of weeks, I'll take you on the full tour of the after.Nice chat! Let’s do it again next week.
Until then, build your Business Capsule, stop apologizing for wanting more money, and if you're posting videos without captions, now you know. 😉

P.S. Last week I asked for your best recommendations for office chairs. So many great ones! Here are a few…
→ Whitney shared this great site.
→ Katie came through with these beauties.
→ Jessica suggested the TopJob chair.
→ And Amber said I must get the Steelcase Karman, and I will not regret it!
Solid recs, ladies! I promise to share what I end up with soon!
P.P.S. What if people were asking YOU when they could buy… before you even opened the cart? That's what a real pre-launch does. Brenna McGowan walks through exactly how to build that kind of anticipation so you never feel like you're convincing anyone again. 🎧Listen here
