I’m a dermatologist by trade. For fun, I would join lots of Facebook groups with other female physicians.
Whenever the topic of money came up, I would answer people’s questions in a way that, I guess, the group really liked. I noticed that I started getting tagged in all sorts of posts, so I ended up answering LOTS of questions.
I was just doing it for fun, but seeing how many women out there needed my help, I decided to turn it into a blog. I actually didn’t want to have a blog, but I just got so tired of typing out the same long answers over and over in the Facebook group, so I figured… if nothing else, I could just point these women to a blog post and it would free up some of my time. It’s kind of funny to think about that now. ;-)
In the middle of 2018, on a whim, I thought… what if I turned this blog into a business? I thought, “I’ll just try it out.” I ended up making an extra $35,000 on top of my salary. Nothing to scoff at, right?
But then in January of 2019, I found Amy, and that changed everything. It was my life coach that told me I would need to launch a course in order to hit my income goals, and with Digital Course Academy®️, I had everything I needed to do just that. Then on the summer of 2019, I launched my course, Money for Women Physicians.
Honestly, Amy made it easy for me. She explains everything so simply, step-by-step. I like to joke with my friends that you just do what she says and it works.
When things are set up properly in your business, life gets REALLY fun! For example, I’m in Hawaii with my family for 3 months and I wanted to go to this fancy hotel for the weekend.
At first, I thought that no one was going to pay me to teach them what I know. It just seemed too crazy.
