During my big move back to Canada in 2019, I binge-listened to Amy’s podcast. And as soon as the doors opened again in 2020, I signed up for Digital Course Academy!

I had visions of HUGE successful launches…

After all, I have been an entrepreneur for so many years, I know what people need, and I know I’m the guy who’s gonna sell it to them!

But I finished DCA, launched my self-help course with a webinar, AND…

JUST 2 people signed up. I was in shock! What had I done wrong?

At the same time, I was starting a new business with 2 partners. (Luckily, I had this to distract myself from my failed launch.) We started a podcast, and eventually launched 2 courses and a membership.

This business grew over time and WAS successful. So what was the difference?

I realized that when creating my previous course, I had completely skipped over the part where you validate your course by surveying your ideal customer. (I didn’t listen to Amy!)

It also helped to have a great support system in place. My partners and I are so different. Each of us has our strengths and weaknesses. And it’s so helpful to lean on others, and learn, and grow – together.

Eventually, when the business reached a comfortable place, I started thinking about what I wanted to do.

I thrive behind the scenes creating everything an online business needs from scratch – especially the tech part.

So I decided to start over, and created a new coaching business helping entrepreneurs set up and maintain their online presence.

I worked on building an email list, just like Amy teaches, and emailed every week — no matter how many people were on my list.

I currently offer one course and am working on another.

I never had that giant launch that I dreamed about, but rather smaller launches with consistent sales…

But having a reliable extra income is a WIN for me!

Because of my journey, I have now redefined how I measure success. It has taken me 4 years to get to this point… I wanted it to happen immediately, but the journey was so worth it.

I am now where I am supposed to be. Your business will grow at the rate that you grow. So my advice to you: Invest in yourself and in DCA!
