It only takes a few minutes of Googling to realize that there’s LOTS of information out there for parents of young children diagnosed with autism — but there’s very little for parents of autistic teens and adults who are trying to make the next developmental leap, like succeeding in high school, college, career, or just independent living.

When I started coaching autistic teens and adults, I spoke with many of their parents and discovered that the information, tools, and strategies that enabled me to help my own son thrive were the knowledge that parents of teens and adults desperately needed.

I made it my mission to share it with as many families as possible, as quickly as possible. My one-on-one coaching has been wildly fulfilling and successful, but I can only take so many clients at a time. I was also quickly burning out, which meant I would soon be helping no one.

Creating a digital course felt like the next best step to helping more people.

I knew I needed an audience to sell my course to (my email list was nonexistent), so I started with List Builder’s Society and followed its framework exactly.

I committed to writing weekly blog posts and my list started growing steadily. In less than a year, I had 2,500 subscribers — and I did it 100% organically through SEO!

I now had an engaged audience to sell my course to, PLUS I had proof that if I just implemented Amy’s step-by-step plan, I would see results. So when Digital Course Academy opened, I signed up.

I was terrified!

I had never done a webinar (let alone try to sell a $2,000 product directly from a webinar) and just the thought of being on camera gave me anxiety.

But I take my responsibility to these parents so seriously because I know this information can change their lives.

So, I persisted. I followed the DCA formula to a tee, even when I wasn’t sure it would work for my specific niche (spoiler alert: it did!).

I also continued building my email list (by the time I launched, I had just over 3,600 subscribers!).

I pushed past many moments of fear and doubt with a lot of support from my amazing accountability group.

I am so humbled and honored to share that 30 families joined my course, Parenting for Independence, generating $55,310 in revenue from my FIRST launch!
