When I first invested in Digital Course Academy back in 2019, little did I know how crucial it would become to the survival of my business… I’m a wedding photographer and I was excited to add a new, more scalable stream of revenue to my offer suite.
Then, just as I was launching my first course, the pandemic hit. My target audience was fellow photographers, and my course was teaching them how to outsource different tasks in their business. As we all know now, that wasn’t exactly the best timing for this topic, seeing as most photographers didn’t have much work coming in.
Despite the challenges facing my industry, I followed Amy’s exact formula and managed to have a $14K launch!
As the pandemic continued to unfold, I faced setbacks. In August, I had only 2 people sign up for my course. It was disappointing, but I trusted Amy’s process and stayed patient. I knew that eventually there would be a demand for my course. The timing just wasn’t quite right.
Amy encouraged all of us to pivot, and I decided to create a different mini-offer that met my audience where they were right then. I launched that in January 2021 and had a $14k launch!
I kept going, adapting to my audience’s changing needs, and had a $35K launch later that year.
The ability to diversify my income through online courses not only saved my business during this time — it also allowed me to support couples in financial distress by easily refunding their retainers. I know so many photographers who weren’t able to do that and I’m so grateful I found DCA when I did.
Finally, in October 2021, I went back to my original course idea (the one teaching photographers how to outsource) and had a $79K launch!
I launched again one year later and had a $100K launch. My patience had literally paid off.
The day I invested in DCA, I printed out a photo of Amy and put it on my vision board because I knew it would motivate me to be one of her success stories and now, here I am!
Within two years of joining DCA, I made an additional $250k in revenue in just 2 years through online courses! That's wild to me!
