I was doing marketing consulting, helping businesses with Facebook ads, managing their Instagram accounts, writing blog posts, and stuff like that.
I was getting clients… BUT it got to the point where I needed to scale OR go back and get a job because running the day-to-day was a nightmare… SERIOUSLY.
While I was figuring it out, I decided to travel through Europe for three months. While most would be sooo excited about this… I was dreading dealing with all of the client emergencies (that aren’t actually emergencies) while I was on my trip.
I kept imagining myself in front of the Eiffel Tower replying to client emails. (Ugh!)
My solution: I signed up for Digital Course Academy®️ and gave myself three months to create and launch a course.
My first course using Amy’s system funded three months of travel and gave me the freedom to fire my most painful clients!
I knew I was over client work. So I started a podcast and built my personal brand. (Which allowed me to FINALLY stop doing client work altogether.)
My podcast was going really well and a lot of people were asking me about it. So, I thought:
“Okay, let me just make my next course teaching people how to launch a podcast.”
So, I made a Trello board that walks people through a step-by-step checklist for setting up a podcast.
I wanted to make it detailed enough to include things that other courses didn’t cover but simple enough for everyone to be able to do it.
I built it using the framework Amy gives us in Digital Course Academy®️, and I launched it to my email list.
It wasn’t a huge success, but it wasn’t a failure. Enough people bought it that I thought there was some potential.
So, I went back through DCA and relaunched it the DCA way. I made it evergreen (like Amy teaches). I did that in February, and you won’t believe what happened!
January was a $10k month for me. Then February was $60k. March $300k.
What?! Unbelievable! And this was during a pandemic!
Now I’m consistently making over $100k a month with my one course!
And I only work about 25 hours per week. (AND I take Wednesdays off. EVERY Wednesday.)
DCA has catapulted the growth of my business. Two years ago, I had $50 to my name and had no idea how to make my mortgage payments. Now I have a 7-figure business!
If we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic, I’d be traveling the world right now, because I can! (Without worrying about those dreaded client emergencies.)
