Why you might hate this choice.

Today's Lineup:

  • What “Rich, Happy, and Hot” taught me about identity 👀
  • Which Insta posts sold the most this month 🤳
  • I named my newsletter after you 😍

Last week, a woman told me she hides the name of the mastermind she pays thousands to be a part of.

And it’s my club. 😳

The one she travels across the country for. That she invests real money to be in. And she won't tell a soul what it's called.

Because, if someone ever asked what “The Milly Club” is, she'd have to say,  “We're female founders growing our businesses past a million.”

And that feels boastful to her. Embarrassing, even.

At first, I was shocked by this. 😱 But I quickly understood.

Many years ago, when I was just getting started, I joined Marie Forleo's mastermind, called Rich, Happy, and Hot.

I would not say that name out loud.

I wasn't rich yet. Happy was questionable (because business was hard in those early years), and hot? Never would have called myself that.

But now I see what Marie was actually doing.

She was having me declare something that I’d already decided.

I was going to be rich. I was going to be happy. And hell yeah, I was going to be hot.

So, that's exactly what the name Milly Club does.

The moment a woman joins, I want her to own the identity of a millionaire founder, before there’s ever evidence in her bank account.

Because what I've watched across four cohorts of these women is that when you claim the identity first, you become very hard to stop.

You rise when things don't go your way.

You walk through the fire that makes everyone else turn around.

You don’t wait for proof; you go make it yourself.

My friend, you don't need my club to step into this.

Think about the woman you're working to become. How she makes decisions. How she talks about money. What she refuses to apologize for.

I want you to stop waiting for permission to be her. Identity comes first, and if history tells me anything, it’s that the bank account catches up.

You are already the decided thing. Your only job is to step into that identity (and you can start literally now).

Insights From My Instagram Audit! 🔍 📣

My team just finished digging through our content data, looking specifically at what drove action, not just likes.

There were some things I expected to see, plenty of surprises, and a lot of learnings I want to pass on to you. 👇

#️⃣ Specific beats inspirational. It's not even close.

Hooks with hard numbers and deadlines converted at 30 to 42 percent. Vague, aspirational hooks converted at 0-3%. Read those numbers again. “How I decluttered 5 rooms in 3 hours” will outperform “How to Simplify Your Life” every single time.

🎠 Carousels are where the money is.

Reels win on reach, and we still use them for that. But when we tracked actual opt-ins, carousels did the converting. Reach and revenue are different jobs. Know which one each post is doing.

❓Ask sooner.

Moving the call to action up, instead of burying it after a long story, meaningfully improved conversion. Your audience doesn't need ten slides of warm-up before you tell them what to do next.

🔁 Repurpose your winners.

We stopped creating from scratch and started taking proven posts and making them more specific each round. Your best content isn't behind you waiting to be topped. It's raw material.

Choose one of these and test it on your own content this week.

And The Winner Is…?! 🥁

Last month, I asked you to name this newsletter, because somehow, over a year in, it still didn't have one.

You came through. The replies poured in, and they ran the full range from genuinely brilliant to “I cannot believe you typed that and hit send.” 😂

I read every single one. (Yes, even that one. You know who you are.)

The plan was to narrow it to three finalists and let you vote.

But while I was sweating it out in my sauna, the name hit me, and I knew it was the one.

Welcome to The Milly Memo.

I chose it for the exact same reason I named the Milly Club.

Whether you're at $100K or $7M, the name is a declaration.

You're going to make it. You're here to stay. This was meant for you.

And if you read the story at the top of this email, you already know I believe you claim the name before the proof shows up.

So that's what this is now. Your Milly Memo.

Once a week, from a woman who's gone before you and is holding nothing back, so you get there faster.

And a promise is a promise: someone is still walking away with my latest video gadget obsession. Three entries were too good to ignore. Each is winning a prize. I'm revealing them on Instagram today. Go look. It might be you. 👀

Nice chat! Let's do it again next week.

Until then, you're officially a Milly Memo reader. Act accordingly. 😉

P.S. One founder discovered that increasing funnel conversion by just 1.5% brought in an additional $100,000 a year. 🤯 No new traffic. Nothing new to build. And on this week's podcast, I walk through 5 hidden money opportunities exactly like that one, all sitting inside the business you already have. Click to listen 🎧

In the last 16 years, I've quit my job, started and scaled my own business to $120 million, become a New York Times Best Selling Author, and taught over 100,000 students how to build a business they love.
