I had always talked a big game about leaving my cushy corporate job and starting my own business, but I hesitated to make the jump. Then one day, I logged into my work computer and opened up an email that read, “Thanks for your 8 years of excellent service. Today is your last day.”

The life I’d built had burned down practically overnight. In the span of 5 months, I lost my job, my boyfriend, and I could no longer afford my Los Angeles, beachside condo.

I used to call it my Year of Financial Ruin … but I now call it my Year of the Phoenix.

The universe was saying it was finally time to start the business I’d been talking about for so long. I tried a few things, but none of them took off. Then I remembered I had taken a social media marketing course a few years back, and I decided to revisit it and start applying it. And guess what? My business started growing.

In 2015, I started a full-service digital marketing agency and for the next two years, I went full speed ahead, working 80-100 hours a week.

Enter Amy Porterfield. My accountability business partner introduced me to her and I started listening to her podcast every day.

After two years of bingeing her podcast, I joined Digital Course Academy in 2019 with the goal of creating a signature course called The Social Media Success Academy. The only problem was, I didn’t know how I was going to find the time to create my course.

Then, Covid hit. I lost 60% of my clients … but I also gained back some time. I dove into DCA, hunkered down, and created the first iteration of The Social Media Success Academy in one month.

What I love so much about DCA is that it never left me wondering, “How do I do this?” or “What do I do next?” It’s SO step-by-step that I just followed it exactly. 

I had my first launch in July 2020 and made $19,000. That might not sound like a lot, but it saved my business. It was also the beginning of something big.

I made more than $70K that first year and in 2021, I doubled that. Eventually, I moved my course to evergreen and added some higher price point, high-touch group coaching. 

Within 4 years of joining DCA, I made $1.3 million in JUST course sales, not counting the agency I still have. This year alone, we are on track to cross over $1 million! 

I now have an amazing team, so instead of working 100 hours a week, I get to eat dinner with my husband, take beautiful, elaborate vacations, and truly be the CEO of my business. The Bridget Brady mission is to live a life I love and help as many other people as possible do the same, and that’s exactly what I’m doing.
