My business came about out of necessity. Even though I had lived in the US for a long time on a work visa, I started the application for a green card because I was getting married!!
While you’re waiting for your green card, you can’t work and you can’t travel. I had five months to just think about my business I wanted to start. I mean… what ELSE was I going to do??
I found Amy and enrolled in DCA during that time.
A friend suggested I niche down into creating a course for the travel industry.
You see, I had worked in the travel industry for over 20 years. I’d done it all — from retail through to the marketing, media, revenue, product, and strategy. So it all just made sense!
The course I created is for travel advisors on how to get new clients online.
I take them from having absolutely no strategy in their business (w/ a side of confusion and disorganization) to having high-converting marketing funnels that give them a consistent stream of new clients.
As soon as I got my green card, you bet I started selling my course. And since then I’ve launched it four times!
My last two launches were smack dab in the middle of COVID, and as I’m sure you know, the industry was REALLY impacted. So many agencies had to refund all of their travel revenue for 2020 and had no income for the foreseeable future.
Words can’t explain the pain the industry felt. It was unprecedented.
So I decided to use all the same assets from my last launches so I could free up my time to show up for those agents who were struggling in a really BIG way.
I pivoted the message to speak to the times and what was giving them pain in the current climate.
And I showed them that working with me would help them navigate how to do business during these challenging times.
The result: I made $75,000 with a 72% conversion rate!
I was blown away!
It just goes to show that you don’t have to have a big list to make big money — even in a pandemic when your whole niche industry has taken a BIG hit.
And what feels even more amazing is knowing how my work is going to help so many people in the travel industry regain hope again.
Not only that, but this business has completely changed my life!
My husband and I have paid off all of our debt, started building our dream home, and were able to pay for our fertility treatments in cash. We now have a beautiful baby boy!
I joke and say that Amy helped me pay for my baby — and I’m so grateful!
Update: As of August 2023, Sandra has launched her course 9 times and has earned over one million dollars in revenue!
Using the DCA framework, Sandra also created a live weekend experience for her audience that was so successful that she cloned that program and now offers it to a second audience. That's two businesses she has created because of DCA!
