- [12:33] Find your credibility. Most people lose their pitch by overselling. To avoid this, stay truthful and illuminate your weaknesses.
- [14:20] Get an emotional attachment. People buy on emotions for logical reasons, so do research to identify what your audience likes and doesn’t like.
- [16:27] Learn to quantify the reasons why. Quantifiable value is important because a lot of people cannot transition from emotional attachment into credibility into a quantifiable value so you must do it for them.
- [18:51] Quantify the impact. Impacting our environment creates long-term safety — use real quantifiable numbers to deliver this message.
- [20:01] Quantify capabilities — these are the skills your product or service has and how it equates to quantifiable value.
- [31:07] Find great mentors — someone who's already where you want to be and then ask them for directions.
