As a chef, I love ALL things having to do with food!

It’s what inspired me to start my food site, “Our Savory Life.” As my site started to take off, I began to dream about one day publishing my very own cookbook.

And one day it was time to stop dreaming… and start doing… So I pitched this cookbook to my dream publishing house, alongside my agent.

We tried hard, but when it came down to it… we couldn’t see eye to eye on the vision. And I was left there, having been denied my dream, feeling crushed.

That’s when I realized I had a couple of options for how to move forward after this disappointment. I could either cast a wider net and pitch the cookbook to several more publishing houses or I could completely pivot.

I pivoted!

I knew the best way I could serve my audience is by teaching them how to cook in a video format through an online course. This would be the best way to have them be able to follow along with me as I showed them all the steps visually.

Once I made the decision to create an online course, I found Digital Course Academy. It was like it magically appeared right when I was ready for it!

The course I created with Amy’s guidance in DCA helps the woman who one day finds herself in the kitchen, responsible for cooking all of the everyday meals, yet who isn’t really sure what to do. I help her learn the foundations of cooking so she feels more confident when cooking for herself, and for others, too.

Here’s the fun part! I made $100,000 from my very first-course launch to a list of 5,000!

And I did it without any paid ads or hosting a webinar.
