Before joining Digital Course Academy®️, I really struggled with having confidence in my career. I had always loved fashion, but I didn’t think I could actually make a great living doing this thing that I love so much.

Even though I studied fashion at an art school in Chicago and worked for 4 years styling hundreds of women at a consignment shop in Knoxville, the idea of turning my fashion knowledge into a career didn’t feel “real.” Often I questioned how this path could support my family one day.

So, I took a 180° turn and got a job at Whole Foods as a buyer for the Whole Body Department. I started learning a TON about health and thought, I love helping people with nutrition. I’m going to do that. Soon after, I got a degree in holistic health coaching because it gave me a clear path to a lucrative career. But no matter how hard I tried, it just wasn’t working for me. It always felt like the health industry didn’t “fit” me—like a jacket that was too tight in the shoulders and wouldn’t let my arms move freely.

And if I’m going to be honest… secretly, I still wanted to work in fashion. (It’s the only career I’ve had that makes me feel like the real me.)

That’s when I started hearing about Amy Porterfield. As SOON as I heard her talking about the life she lives as an online course creator, I was like, “I can make courses teaching women about style and feeling confident in their clothes!” and I immediately knew that DCA was the missing link for me.
