I was raised to not believe in entrepreneurship or to dream too big when it comes to what’s possible for my life. As an adult, and a single mother of 3 kids, I was told to just get a “real” job multiple times. Thank goodness I didn’t listen.

I started my baking business in 2012 and held in-person classes that did really well. My most popular one? How To Make Caramel Apples. My students begged me for an online version that they could watch over and over again, but when I saw that online baking courses only sold for $10 or $15 each, I had no interest in creating one.

My followers, who are also bakers and love baking as a hobby, kept pushing me though, they told me they didn’t care if I charge more than anyone else. They’d pay $200 for the online course—which is what I was charging for the in-person classes.

Around that same time, Amy launched Digital Course Academy®️, and at first I told myself I didn’t have the money. Luckily I realized that thought was just the limited thinking I was raised with and that investing in myself and my business was the only way that it would grow.

It’s not the same to watch YouTube videos for free. It’s just not. When you invest in a course, the teacher gives you all the knowledge they’ve learned and they’re saving you from making all the mistakes they’ve made.

With that in mind, I signed up for Digital Course Academy®️ minutes before the cart closed in Jan 2019. By May, I launched my $200 online caramel apple course. I told myself I’d be happy with 100 students, but I secretly thought that was wishful thinking…100 is a lot of students.

By day 2 of my launch, I had MORE than 100 students and by cart close, I had 313.

That’s a $62,600 launch from a list of 2,600 teaching how to make caramel apples!

My mind has exploded! I believe in myself in ways that I never have before, and now I’m seeing (and believing) all that’s possible for my life and my kid’s lives. I'm even planning to retire my mom by the end of the year!

$62k is more money than I’ve ever made in one year in my entire life! And now, I’m going to launch that same course again to the same list and make even more sales with a lot less work. (I’m even thinking of charging more now that I know how in-depth and valuable of a course I’ve created.) Thank you, Amy, for changing my life!

UPDATE: I've launched my Caramel Apple course two more times and made $64k in October 2019 and $157,975 in July 2020 during COVID-19!

I've even successfully launched a course on baking cookies that made $61k earlier this year – so that's $345,375 TOTAL in course sales!

I think the reason my courses are doing better with each launch is because I have completely changed my mindset. I truly believe in and stand in my purpose.
