25 years ago I was invited to work with injured athletes using yoga as part of their rehabilitation and that was a light bulb moment for me!

Why was yoga not being used in strength training and conditioning?

So I dove into the research and became one of the top world experts on the topic—amassing one of the largest research databases in the world on the benefits of yoga in sport.

That’s how I ended up working as a Yoga Sports Scientist with players in the top UK soccer teams, and working with Performance Directors for the British Olympic Association.

I developed a sport-specific yoga methodology and created an in-person course to support yoga teachers, fitness trainers and health professionals who wanted to use my methods with their clients.

In 2009, in the face of the harsh effects of the 2008 Global crash, I had to adapt fast. I had to decide whether I was going to postpone delivering my in-person courses until the economy stabilized or find another alternative. The alternative was online.

Fifteen years ago there was no-one in the online yoga world to turn to for support. Pioneering something can sometimes mean isolation, ridicule and absence to proof of concept – but what I needed to do was focus on its strengths and overcome the obstacles.

I applied my experience of yoga into every nuance of the online process with the aim of creating a supportive and effective online yoga space that students were excited to engage with.

But when COVID happened in 2020 and everything shut down, other yoga teachers were reaching out to me to ask how they could learn to teach yoga online. So I created a course and offered it to them!

That’s when I had the realization…

There was a considerable opportunity to support and serve more yoga teachers online. While I was known as a game-changer in the realm of sports-specific yoga, I recognized the need for a game-changer in the digital course space who could help take my life's work to the next level. And that’s when I found Amy.

So in 2022 I signed up for Digital Course Academy and immersed myself in the curriculum.

The modules in DCA are clear, easy to navigate, and very straightforward to follow.

And that’s exactly one of the ways that Amy helped me.

She showed me how to make improvements to my existing online material and reorganize it into a course that beautifully teaches my methods.

Over 1500 students signed up for my very first DCA style webinar! It was the most successful webinar I had ever done – because I followed the DCA-style launch – to the letter!

I’ve always had the creativity and the content of my expertise, but now thanks to DCA, I have a business roadmap, with a very clear path forward that is working for me.

And as I turn 60 next year, I am approaching my life’s work with new invigoration and creativity!
