I built a successful boudoir photography business after leaving my career in corporate banking.

It was so successful that I got to the point where I was bringing in over six figures a year and charging $5k a client! Other photographers started asking me how I did it.

They were asking me so often that I put together a mentoring package for photographers and was working with them one-on-one. But I realized that it was starting to feel like I was living in the movie Groundhog Day as I would talk about the same thing over and over again with each new client. I knew I needed to leverage my time better, but I hadn’t quite figured out how.

Around this same time, I joined List Builders Society®️ to build my list for my photography business, but when I went through the program I realized I could solve my problem coaching on repeat by building a course for other photographers.

So as soon as Digital Course Academy®️ opened in September 2019, I jumped on it. I went through the whole program loving the way Amy breaks everything down step-by-step! I’m a big procrastinator, and it really helped me focus on getting one thing done before moving on to the next.

I was so nervous to launch my course, Profitable Boudoir Academy, and host webinars that I pushed the launch date back twice! But I finally launched my course for boudoir and portrait photographers on March 4th, 2020, with plans to close the cart on March 23rd.

What happened next, I could never have expected. Everything shut down for COVID-19 right in the middle of my launch! I almost pulled the plug on the entire thing, but by then I already had a bunch of people signed up. That kept me focused on pushing through with it, and I’m so glad I did because I was so ready for a breakthrough.

I did four webinars for my audience and I also partnered with two other boudoir photographers to do webinars for their large Facebook groups. I planned it out exactly as Amy teaches in DCA, and even though I was nervous — I had never done a webinar before — I felt so supported during my entire launch by having her resources.

The result: I made over $25,000, even in the middle of COVID-19!

I’m so grateful to have that cash flow during this time because I’m not taking on any in-person photography clients right now. I thought it was the worst time to launch, but it actually was the best.

I feel so much more confident and not stressed about any sort of money issue because I know that if I need to, I can launch again and make money.

Update: I've launched several times since that first launch and so far, I have over 120 students in my course and I have made over $169k!!
