When I first started listening to Amy’s podcast in 2019, I thought wow, that’s so cool that people are course creators, I could never do that! Fast-forward just 1 year later, I AM a course creator, AND my whole life has changed!

You see, I had just become a new mom while working full-time in my marketing career in California. Suddenly I found myself thinking, “How do people do this?”

“How are moms working full time, taking care of their kids, and NOT SLEEPING? This just isn’t going to work for me!”

So that’s when I decided to make a career change. I chose to become a certified sleep consultant and started working with clients one-on-one.

But as many stories go, I had so many clients that I was getting burnt out. (And there I was AGAIN… wondering: “How do people do this?”)

In my moments of reflection, I started to realize that I was talking about the same things to every family. Even though each child is different and each family is different, the problems are the same…

And that’s when the idea hit me: THIS would make a great digital course!

I thought back to Amy, but I could not afford Digital Course Academy at the time, so instead I signed up for List Builders Society.

I loved experiencing Amy’s teaching style and vowed to sign up for DCA in the fall of 2020. So when that cart opened… there I was becoming one of the next students in DCA!

2020 was busy for me, growing my list, starting a Facebook group, and working on an outline for my course. I honestly just did everything Amy told me to!

I needed the step-by-step instructions: how to structure a webinar, how to market your course, and the tech stuff.

With the guidance from LBS I was able to grow my list to 2,500 people before my first launch. (2 years and 5 launches later, my list is now at 40,000!)

I promoted all my launches with webinars, learning and tweaking along the way.

And during the first 6 months of 2021, I made over $70,000! But it doesn’t stop there…

I finally feel like I’m in control of my days and my schedule and I have time to be a present mom to my kids.

Taking this journey, I’ve learned not to be scared of just trying something. If things don’t work, I try something else. I’ve built up this new kind of confidence in myself.

But the most amazing part are the stories that I hear from families after totally transforming their toddler's sleep habits using my course. I could never have touched this many families if I was working one-on-one. It would have been impossible. And it’s what I love most about becoming a course creator.
