After a 15-year career in marketing, I went back to school to become a registered dietician. I loved the work, but I graduated at 40 with five figures of student loan debt.

Because of that, I knew that working in a hospital for $30 an hour was not going to be for me, so I started my business in January 2018 — about eight months after graduating.

The initial plan was to do what a lot of dieticians do… open a private practice. I rapidly discovered that was not going to be enough to fulfill me. I wanted to impact more people, and I knew bringing my business online was the way to do that.

Thankfully, it was around that time that I discovered Amy. With my marketing background, it was easy to implement her advice, and I started seeing success quickly. By following some of her tips, my Instagram following started growing like crazy!

Fortunately, my one-on-one practice was now successful, but unfortunately, I was really bogged down in the day to day. I knew the next best step for me was to create a course!

So I signed up for Digital Course Academy®️ in January 2019 and got started creating my lead magnet and putting out content.

I learned from Amy that your lead magnet should set up a need for your course, so I created a quiz called, “What type of diet is best for your PCOS?” and I was getting 100 to 200 people a day signing up for it!

My email list grew to 2,800 people, and my Instagram grew to just under 25,000 followers — all thanks to strategies Amy teaches.

With my audience growing daily, I was ready to launch my course! I created a course called the PCOS Root Cause Roadmap and launched it on presale for Black Friday, before all the content was created! Launching it before I created it lit a fire under my butt to make me actually do the work and get the course done.

44 people enrolled on Black Friday, and when the cart closed in January, I had a total of 70 students.

With my first launch I made over $26,000!! It felt absolutely amazing to completely surpass what I thought I would do on the first launch.

I get tons of questions from other dieticians who are looking to have the success I’ve had, and I tell them, “Just do what Amy tells you!” I talk about her all the time now. :)

Having the step-by-step process in Digital Course Academy®️ was invaluable. I had the plan in front of me, and I never felt overwhelmed. I just kept telling myself to do the next thing on the list and everything would come together.

Thanks to the success of my course, my husband and I are planning on buying our first house this year. I’m looking forward to future launches where I can say, “I did better on this launch than I was expecting. Let’s build an addition or redo the bathroom!” It feels amazing to have this kind of freedom.
