If you’ve ever had acne, then you know just how painful it is. That’s why I became an esthetician when I was a senior in high school. I myself struggled with acne all my life, and it was on my heart to help the many others who faced these same struggles I had.
I was licensed at 18 and opened my own business at 23. I focused on my dream, started in a tiny room with 0 clients, and went on to build a thriving business. After a few years I had a team of 10 people, was working with Tony Robbins, and traveling the world.
Listen, everything was GREAT! And at the same time I kept hearing my friends talk about their success selling online courses. I thought, “That’s GENIUS!” to create something one time and sell it over and over again. I was like, “Where do I sign up?” So, I bought Digital Course Academy.
I created the course, “6 Figure Beauty Business Blueprint” to help struggling and burned-out estheticians build successful businesses, just like I had. And when the shutdown happened, I had some extra time on my hands, and I decided this was the right time to launch.
DCA showed me that making online courses doesn’t have to be hard. It can be easy. And you can tailor the strategy to your business how you’d like.
Here’s what I did: Instead of using webinars, I promoted my course on Instagram stories. I showed up every day on Instagram and promoted it. I even got affiliates on board to help me get the word out.
I got 105 signups at $1,000 each for a course that I hadn’t even made yet!
That’s a $105K launch!
AND I’m making the course live AND getting amazing feedback!
Personal growth equals business growth, and I’ve grown sooo much from this experience. The messages I get from my students are better than the money I’ve made from the courses.
As you can imagine, having an online business was a lifesaver for my brick-and-mortar during the shutdown. And the funny thing is, I now know this business has the potential to be waaaaay more profitable than my brick-and-mortar business.
