I was a single mom on government assistance, also getting a masters in consciousness and transformation studies when I discovered Amy Porterfield.

I realized pretty early on during my studies that my employment options would be limited to teaching or starting my own business, so I started studying online business like crazy even before I graduated.

I wanted to be prepared, you know?

That’s how I came across Amy’s courses.

I dove into Digital Course Academy, and with a small babysitting on my lap, and my third in my belly — yup! I was pregnant at the time — I did my first launch.

My course sales didn’t go exactly how I planned, BUT my launch did help me get a grant for $12,000 to create an online course for at-risk youth. To me that was a HUGE success!

Then something terrible happened that completely changed my perspective on my life's work. My friend was sadly murdered while doing social justice work. It made me realize that while they were willing to die for a cause… I was just dabbling.

What I really want is to spend my life doing the thing I’m most passionate about, so I recommitted to DCA. That’s when I created my new course, Mastery of Ceremonial Facilitation.

Mastery of Ceremonial Facilitation is a 3-month certification program to teach people how to facilitate sacred ceremonies to help people heal using transformational and traditional Mexican practices.

I launched in May of 2020 with one webinar. Over 200 people registered. My goal was to get 10 students. The result: I DOUBLED that! (What?!)

My first launch of this new course, where I was fully recommitted, was an $83K launch!!!!

I then launched again and had 11 students sign up. I made another $36K!

Before all this I struggled to make ends meet. Now I’m having these amazing launches, and I have students in 5 countries.

DCA has been miraculous. I’ve been on and off government assistance and food stamps for the past 11 years. After I did my launch, I had to call the welfare office to report my income change. It was the first time I haven’t qualified for food stamps. I can now pay for my house with no worry about making my monthly payments whatsoever, AND stay home with my kids.

As a single mom, I’m showing my children that hard work pays off. I’m able to provide for a family and indulge in things on my wishlist that didn’t seem possible before. This is the life I’ve been dreaming about for so long, and now it’s mine. Thank you, Amy!
