After working with fiction writers one-on-one for a few years, I was MAXED out. I had a growing waitlist of authors who wanted to work with me, but I didn’t have the time or the space to take on new clients.

Not only that, but I was struggling to get client work done and run my business at the same time.

I joined DCA knowing that Amy would show me the way to create a business like hers—one where I could help people AND create a little breathing room in my schedule to actually work on my business, too.

In DCA, Amy showed me how to take the process I was using to help writers one-on-one and turn it into a course.

Even though the perfectionist in me wanted to have my course all done and polished before it launched, I kept hearing Amy’s voice inside my head telling me to “let it be imperfect”—so I did.

My course, “Notes to Novel,” teaches aspiring fiction authors how to confidently write the first draft of a story they can feel proud of (without the fear, self-doubt, and overwhelm that stops most writers in their tracks).

For my first launch, I had a goal of enrolling 5 students just to see how things went. But I surprised myself and ended up enrolling 38 students WITHOUT webinars, paid ads, or a big social media presence. I made over $40,000 during this first launch and it felt INCREDIBLE!

(All the hard work I had put in to build my email list of 16k people really paid off during this first launch. I have Amy and List Builder’s Society to thank for this, too!)

For my second launch, I had a goal of making $50,000. I exceeded my goal again and ended up enrolling 50 students at $55,000. This time, I hosted three webinars to help me get new students in the door—which, for this introvert, was a really big deal!

(Also, this launch helped me grow my email list to 22k people. I continue to use the strategies from both LBS and DCA to this day and my list keeps growing!)
Because of these two launches (totaling almost $100,000 in sales), I have stopped taking new one-on-one clients.

If I ever decide to do one-on-one coaching again, I know that I can be super selective about who I work with instead of just taking anyone that comes through the virtual door. This makes me so happy!

Thanks to Amy and DCA, I’m making MORE money than I was before and I have MORE white space on my calendar.

UPDATE: In one year, Savannah has brought in over $175,000 in digital course sales and has now opened a membership to support her students after they complete her course. Way to go, Savannah!
