I always knew I was destined for more. With Digital Course Academy, I finally figured out what “the more” was.
After 11 years in corporate as a business and communications coach, something was telling me — this isn’t it.
I was getting paid a lot of money, I was really good at my job. But to me, fulfillment mattered more than money.
So I made a plan… I was going to start my own business!
I joined DCA (not even knowing if I even really wanted to make a digital course) and quickly fell in love with the idea of becoming a course creator.
That’s when I decided to go ALL IN… and I left my job one month later. (A testament to how much I believed in this course!)
Even though I knew this was for me, I was scared.
“Are people going to care about what I’m going to say?” I wondered.
I had this belief that the things I learned in corporate were not applicable in business anymore.
But Amy helped me have confidence in my voice and realize the value I had.
So I showed up… for 12 weeks… I followed every step…
And I launched February 2021 with my very first course I named: “Get to the Point.” (It’s all about how to create presentations from scratch.)
The result: I made $5,300 in sales from a list of only 27 people!
But then some of my students also became coaching clients… meaning my one-on-one business grew too.
Then I had a thought… what if I create a smaller, more foundational course to reach even more people!
So I went back through and did DCA AGAIN!
My next course “Content that Converts” will be launching very soon. (It’s all about helping solopreneurs who struggle with content creation.)
I love the idea that my courses can inspire my students to become clients, can be offered to my existing clients to support our one-on-one work, OR can be offered to clients that one-on-one coaching may not be the best fit for.
The way Amy teaches and inspires people brings so much more value to you as the student than just creating a course. Since taking DCA, my mindset has taken a huge shift. It’s honestly been a life game-changer and I’ve become a better person for it.
