Long story short…
I’m a vegetable farmer in a town south of Toledo, Ohio. And before I met Amy, I sucked at marketing.
I knew that I needed help with marketing in order to find local people to buy my vegetable subscription box and get them to stay as loyal customers for a long time.
Four years ago, by following Amy’s methods, my customer retention went from 60% to 75%. We completely transformed our lead-gen strategy. And our subscription box business has become a massive success!
That’s when I decided I MUST tell more farmers about this strategy.
You see, farmers all suck at marketing. We’re not online business people. We’re farmers. So, I started sharing content in a Facebook group and building up that community of farmers helping farmers with their marketing.
Then COVID hit. And small, local farmers were completely cut off from every nationwide sales channel immediately.
Restaurants had shut down. Wholesale accounts had shut down. Farmers markets had shut down. And now farmers needed a way to sell directly to their customers, but they had no idea how.
I didn’t know how I felt about selling to a group of people who were already struggling financially, but I knew I could help them. I knew that this process I had developed of selling high price point subscription boxes direct to local customers could save their farms. Making an enormous difference in their business and their lives when they desperately needed it.
So, I decided to go for it! I wanted to pre-sell 30 units to validate my idea. And if I didn’t hit that number, I would refund my customers their money and move on.
To make this happen, I DOVE back into DCA because I needed to get this thing out there pronto. Farmers needed cash now!
ONE WEEK later, I pre-sold 51 units. I made over $13,600. And it changed my life.
Making that much money has not only given me financial resilience for the year, but it’s also shown me that this course launch is something I can repeat again and again for the long haul.
Amy, you’ve unlocked me. You’ve shown me how to just make a decision and move forward with my fear. And each time I do that, it sets off a cascade of events that keeps me charging ahead.
Now, I feel like I’m worth the success I’m creating. I feel professional. I feel like I’m taking my business more seriously.
