When I started my freelance graphic design business, I really struggled.

Design school doesn’t prepare you on how to actually run a business. It took a little while, but I was finally able to come up with a consistent working business model.

My passion then became about helping other designers who were struggling to get their businesses going like I was through my YouTube channel.

That’s when someone recommended listening to Amy’s podcast, and I immediately fell in love. She is so genuine and helpful, and I really wanted to learn her business model and how I could apply it to what I wanted to do.

So I tried to sign up for Digital Course Academy… but enrollment wasn’t open. I had to wait!

But I wasn’t going to let that stop me. I got to work filming my course using what I learned from Amy’s podcast as inspiration.

I am pretty tech-savvy, so creating a course was easy for me… but DCA is so much more!

I still needed to create a sales page, emails, and the webinar. And the modules made everything so easy to figure out, and step-by-step.

It was what I learned from these modules in DCA that made my course launch successful.

I am fortunate to have a successful YouTube channel that provides most of my leads, but DCA taught me how to be strategic with my numbers and to be in control of my business.

You can’t just “hope” people buy your course; you have to have a plan! With Amy’s help, now I do!

When I did the first launch of my course “Consistent Client Blueprint,” I made $8,000… but that was less than my goal.

I was so frustrated I wanted to give up.

But I learned from the group that you have to keep going, and thank goodness I did because my second launch brought in $20,000!

I am now preparing for my third launch and creating some mini-courses using the DCA framework. I have big goals for this launch that I know I will achieve!

While I am confident I can grow my freelance business, there is only so much work I can take on. As a course creator, I feel it’s actually possible to make this a million-dollar business!

This future will allow me to spend more time with my kids and work on achieving goals my husband and I have with charities that we are really passionate about.

That’s something I feel awesome about!
