I was sitting on the beach vacationing in my home country of Turkey, listening to Amy’s podcast…
And looking around at everyone discussing their worries about the economy and what they were going to do. But I was not worried, because I knew there were many ways I could make money; instead, I was formulating a plan.
I already owned my own marketing agency, and along with other services – I also offered private coaching.
During my coaching sessions, I found myself repeating the same ideas to my clients over and over and over again. What I was sharing with one client, I was sharing with the next and the next.
I knew there had to be a better way where I could still support my clients without having to teach the same thing again and again. That’s when I started thinking about packaging up my teachings, strategies, methods, and ideas in one place where my client’s could access it at any time.
My idea was to shift my one-on-one client’s into my online program, but I needed the push and a working formula to speed up the process and get results faster. And I knew Amy was the person I wanted to learn this from because everything she does aligns with how I like to do business.
That’s when I signed up for Digital Course Academy Bootcamp – which, of course, led me to sign up for DCA! (And it was one of the best decisions I have ever made!)
I was really worried about finding the time I needed to create my course. I already work full-time and have a full plate. But once I realized I did not have to have it all done at once and that I could create the course in real-time and mold it to what my students needed, this worry melted away.
The first step was to grow my list. I already had about 2,000 subscribers prior to bootcamp, but as soon as I learned how to create a lead magnet and how to use it properly (with Amy’s very clear, proven-to-work, step-by-step instructions), it quickly grew to 20,000!
The module on surveying your ideal client was also really helpful for me. It allowed me to discover what my students would want so I could create a course they would want. It was the absolute foundation to me having a successful course launch!
