Creating my digital course has been the greatest challenge of my very long career. It’s also been my most fulfilling accomplishment, AND… I could never have done it without Amy!
You see, I’m a caretaker for my husband who is very sick. We needed to sell our home and downsize to a one-bedroom apartment—which is very noisy and makes filming difficult.
I’m also serving a niche market who have (typically) been burned many times before and are distrustful of learning from someone new.
I had a lot of reasons in my head as to why I should NOT create a course. Yet, I kept hearing Amy’s voice telling me to just take the next step.
“It doesn’t have to be perfect,” she says.
Thankfully, I listened and just kept going.
Before Amy, I had founded a clinic in Israel where I developed a revolutionary technique for treating stuttering. I wrote 2 books on the subject. And I administer speech therapy to patients in one-on-one sessions.
For 6 years, I wanted to package what I know about how to treat stuttering into a digital course for a few important reasons.
- Most of the information out there on this topic is DEAD WRONG. Some of it is even damaging.
- Self-therapy courses can be MORE effective than 1-on-1 therapy. There’s no illusion that the teacher will do it for you with a digital course. You have to do it yourself.
- I wanted my technique (that’s helped so many) to live on long after I retired so it could continue helping people.
- I needed a way to have more time to take care of my husband while still bringing in more income.
I launched my course, From Stuttering to Speaking Freely, for the very first time on August 1st, 2019, with a list of 300 people. I was THRILLED when I generated $17,000 in just two weeks!! Plus, I had students from all over the world—Qatar, Pakistan, etc.
I also know that this is just the beginning. I’ve already had other clinicians reach out to me asking if I can create a course teaching my method to other clinicians. The impact from FINALLY launching this course is tremendous.
And if I can do this, with all the challenges I faced, at over 70 years old… You can do this too!
