“Got a question about running your beauty business? Ask Maddie!”

That is how it all started. A Facebook group where people could ask their questions and I would answer using my 11 years experience in the salon industry.

Then I had to figure out what came next… And what felt like the next best step was to become a course creator.

This way I could start earning money from my knowledge, instead of always giving it away for free in my group.

Now in my industry, most trainings are done face-to-face. Many would think this might be a hindrance and stop before they ever started.

But I just believed that my audience would clearly see that I once had their same struggles. That I could relate to their challenges. And that I now had the solution to help them.

With that belief, I decided to go for it and I created my first course.

That was in 2018, and it became a really great side hustle. But then COVID happened. And my industry was hit super hard.

All salons closed, and stylists were without a source of income.

Most people would think this would be an awful time to invest in DCA with Amy to launch a course for hairstylists who were out of work, but I saw a different opportunity.

I now had the time to make my courses even better and work on my big launch.

(That’s when I signed up!)

I took my time with completing the course materials in DCA, and I appreciated that it was created for anyone to do at any pace.

And I got most excited when I came to the module on webinars since this is how I promote my courses and app.

I learned so much from Amy about how to make my webinars even better, and I just hosted my 200th webinar this week – using what Amy taught me!

Since I started my journey as a course creator, I’ve had in total over 10,000 webinar attendees, 17,000 webinar registrations, and have grown my email list to 16,000 active subscribers!

My audience loves the live interaction of the webinars, and I genuinely love doing them. I’ve had people attend over and over just to see what I have added that week!

Oh, and here’s something else that makes me happy…

I recently surveyed the users of my pricing calculator to see how much their revenue and profit had increased in 2021. It was a total on average of 411,000 pounds PER WEEK.

That’s over half a million US dollars!

To know I am making this kind of impact in the lives of so many people, especially during a pandemic, which has been so tough for so many, is a GREAT feeling.

My course success happened at the perfect time. It turned out I needed back surgery and was not going to be able to return to my business.

I still host webinars and sell my courses, and do private coaching for certain clients…

But most of my day is spent at the beach. This is all thanks to my courses, and thanks to the help from DCA!
